An Easy Way to Reduce Water Waste

Today I’m going to give you a quick tip to help you reduce your water waste. Water waste is defined as the indiscriminate, unreasonable, or excessive running or dissipation of water. Examples of water waste include waste caused by correctable leaks, breaks, or malfunctions, and the operation of fountains, ponds, lakes, or other ornamental use of Potable water without recycling.

A common example of water waste is when you wait in the shower or bath for your water to warm up. Here’s the tip: Instead of just letting the water run, grab a bucket, watering can, or another type of object with which to catch the water. Place the bucket or other object under the spout and catch the clean water. Because this water has not been infected by soap or other chemicals yet, it can be used for many things. My favorite thing to do is to water my garden with this water. However, you can be creative and use it for many things such as cleaning your car or pet! Be creative!

I hope that this blog helped you understand the issue of water waste and showed you an easy way to combat this problem in your everyday life. Thank you for reading!
